An overview of Apply, the GTTR online application system

Apply is an application system that allows you to apply online for postgraduate teacher training courses at training providers in England, Scotland and Wales. The GTTR does not deal with applications for postgraduate teacher training courses in Northern Ireland.

You will be asked to complete the following sections.

  • Registration
  • Personal details
  • Choices
  • Qualifications
  • Personal statement
  • Reference
  • Declaration
  • Pay and send

You will need to mark every section as complete and obtain an online reference from your principal referee before you can pay for your application and send it to us.

Help text in Welsh

Although the screen text in GTTR Apply is currently only provided in English, we do provide full help text for each section of the application in Welsh. Please make sure that you read the help text when completing your application.

Receive correspondence in Welsh

You can ask for all correspondence from training providers in Wales to be written in Welsh in the Personal details section of Apply. All letters from us will be in English.
