Data protection

We ask you to read and agree to a declaration as part of the online registration process. When you do this, you agree that we and the training providers can process your information and keep a copy of your application to collect statistics and to detect and prevent fraud.

The Data Protection Act 1998 allows you to ask us for a copy of all the information we hold on your application. We charge £10 for this service to cover administrative costs. If you would like a copy of your information, please write to us giving your full name, address and Personal ID, and send us a cheque or postal order for £10, payable to GTTR. We keep applications for 3 years.

Please send your request and cheque or postal order to GTTR, Rosehill, New Barn Lane, Cheltenham, Glos GL52 3LZ.

If you wish to pay for a copy of your information by credit or debit card, please phone our Customer Service Unit on 0871 468 0 469 (or 0044 871 468 0 469 from outside the UK). You need to have your Personal ID to hand and be able to answer some questions about your application correctly to confirm your identity.

UCAS, or the UCAS group of companies (including the GTTR), may from time to time send out information concerning:


  • funding and sponsorship opportunities
  • health issues
  • careers opportunities that are appropriate to teaching
  • goods and services relevant to higher education, such as student banking and discounted travel.

We may send you such information by email, SMS text or by post. If you want to receive this information, please tick the appropriate boxes when you apply.
