What are the GTTR deadlines for applying?

You may apply to the GTTR at any time between early October 2011 and 30 June 2012. We will then send your application to training providers with vacancies one at a time in your order of preference.

If you are applying for primary teaching courses, we must receive your application by 1 December 2011 to guarantee that we can send your application to your first choice training provider for consideration.

The 1 December deadline for primary teaching courses does not apply to middle years, secondary, post-compulsory or further education teaching courses. If we receive your application for these courses at any time between October 2011 and 30 June 2012, we will only send it to training providers that still have vacancies. Training providers may fill their places for some courses early in the application cycle. You should apply as early as possible to give yourself the best chance of obtaining a place.

If we receive your application after 30 June 2012, we will not send it to training providers for consideration. You will be entered directly into the Clearing system.
