Welsh Medium Incentive Supplement Scheme
A £1,500 incentive payment is available in Wales for those who wish to undertake a secondary postgraduate course through the medium of Welsh.The incentive payment is £1,800 for trainees taking science and mathematics secondary postgraduate courses.
This incentive is aimed at students on eligible courses who need additional support to raise confidence in their ability to teach effectively through the medium of Welsh. Decisions on eligibility for the supplement are made by individual training providers involved in the scheme. More information can be obtained by contacting individual training providers directly.
