Replying to your offers

How to reply

We send your application to one training provider at a time for consideration, starting with the first choice or highest choice with vacancies in your order of preference. If you receive an offer, you must make one of the following two replies on Track:

  • Firm acceptance (F)
  • Decline (D).

Firm acceptance

If you firmly accept an unconditional or conditional offer, you cannot be considered by any other training providers you may have listed on your application. We will not send your application to these providers.

When you firmly accept an unconditional offer you are agreeing to take a place on that course at that training provider.

When you firmly accept a conditional offer you are agreeing to take a place on that course at that training provider if you meet all the conditions of the offer.

Decline

If you decline an offer, we will send your application to your next choice of training provider with vacancies. If we cannot send your application to another training provider, you will have the opportunity to make new choices or apply to further training providers in Extra or Clearing depending on the stage of the application cycle.

When to reply

We send you an email asking you to read your Offer letter on Track. You can print a copy of this letter. If you have not provided a valid email address, we will send you an Offer letter in the post.

You must reply to your offers on Track within 14 days of the date on your Offer letter. The Track service will also display your deadline for replying. If you do not reply in this 14-day period, we will decline the offer and you may lose your place.

We then send your application to your next highest choice of training provider with vacancies. If we cannot send your application to another training provider, you will have the opportunity to make new choices, or apply to further training providers in Extra or Clearing, depending on the stage of the application cycle.
