The document A Single Admissions Process for Postgraduate Initial Teacher Training - Consultation document was published on 10 January 2012 and the consultation period has now begun. We have sought the views of GTTR training providers, Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP) providers, GTTR Advisory Board members and the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA). The consultation phase closes on 21 March 2012.

The document summarises our propsals for changes to the GTTR application service to include GTP providers. We hope that the changes will improve the application service both for applicants and training providers. We recognise that the GTTR should not have the final decision on changes to our services and we hope that our review will help stakeholders to form a view about the future of the admissions service.
To support the consultation we are holding events to offer you the opportunity to enhance your understanding of the proposed admissions system and the other findings laid out in the document before submitting your response to the consultation.
Events will take place in the following locations:
Places at these events are restricted to one representative from each training provider at each event on a first-come, first-served basis.
All responses to the consultation will be analysed carefully and a report will be submitted to the GTTR Advisory Board and the UCAS Board. Individual consultation responses will not be published but a summative report will be published by the end of May 2012.
