Environmental policy

The GTTR is committed to minimising the environmental impact of its operations through adopting sustainable practices and continual improvement in environmental performance.

To achieve this the GTTR will

  • keep abreast of and comply with legislation, regulations and codes of practice on environmental matters relevant to its operations
  • train employees and promote environmental awareness and commitment throughout the Company
  • be proactive in developing opportunities to minimise waste and reuse or recycle materials
  • monitor, review and continually improve its environmental performance
  • maintain an environmental management system that meets the ISO/14001 certification standard
  • use suppliers wherever appropriate that have environmental standards compatible with its own
  • be committed to the prevention of pollution.

Specific objectives on which the GTTR will focus include:

  • minimising the environmental impact of business travel
  • reducing the consumption of resources such as paper and plastic
  • minimising the volume of waste generated and maximise reuse, recycling and energy recovery from waste
  • reducing the consumption of fossil fuels and incorporate long-term strategies for energy efficiency into planning and development
  • continually reassess changing technology, business requirements and best environmental practices.

Policy review

This policy will be reviewed annually.
