Customer Service Unit

If you need help or advice on your individual application, you should call our Customer Service Unit on 0871 468 0 469 (or 0044 871 468 0469 from outside the UK), open Monday to Friday, 08:30-18:00 (UK time). Calls from BT landlines within the UK will cost no more than nine pence per minute. The cost of calls from mobiles and other networks may vary.

If you have hearing difficulties, you can call the Text Relay service on 18001 0871 468 0 469 from within the UK, or on 0044 151 494 1260 (text phone) from outside the UK. You will need to ask the operator to dial 0871 468 0 469. There is no extra charge for this service. Calls are charged at normal rates.

If you have made an application, please have your Personal ID ready so we can find your records quickly. If our lines are busy, you will be put in a queue and a message service will ask you if you would like to hold or call back later.

Our Customer Service Advisers are expected to deal with all callers with politeness and respect, and we would expect our callers to offer the same courtesy to our staff. If a caller uses offensive or inappropriate language during the course of a call, or in an email or letter, then our staff are empowered to terminate the call or to refuse to answer the correspondence should an initial warning prove ineffective. Should the caller continue to exhibit such behaviour in the course of subsequent contacts then we reserve the right to cancel the application.
